Taken while hanging over the edge of a small boat whilst enjoying a late-evening harbour-tour in Torquay, Devon, in July 2000:
My wife's brother with his then one-year-old daughter Lucy, taken at Blackpool's amusement park, Pleasure Beach, in October 2001:
A high-key B&W shot of my then 16-year-old niece Caroline, taken in Summer 2002. It was originally in colour, but she preferred it in B&W, so that's how it stayed. This was used as a publicity-shot for a demo-tape she was sending off to various record companies at the time. She thought she was the new Britney Spears, and in truth she wasn't too bad a singer, but it all fell flat on its face two months after taking this shot when she accidentally fell pregnant to her boyfriend. Ah well, yet another promising career in tatters 'cos someone couldn't keep their clothes on; how many times do you see that happening!
I found this building while walking along the beaches at Gibraltar in November last year. I take it to be some kind of mosque:
Spring blossom on the branches of trees in Stanley Park, Blackpool. Taken last April:
My then two-year-old twin boys and their mum photographed last May in our back garden:
The River Avon as it runs through the historic city of Bath, Somerset. I liked this picture when I took it in October, as there was no sun or harsh shadows to spoil it, and I liked the misty horizon. Now, I feel there's too much expanse of empty water in the foreground, with not much happening. None the less it makes a peaceful 10x8 on my living-room wall:
All photos taken on Olympus OM4Ti & 50mm F/1.8 with various Kodak slide films, & scanned on an Epson Photo RX500 printer/scanner combo.
Thanks for looking
