Hope you at least like some of them ;)
(the spots on the lower-right of the 2nd monkey... that's my fingerprint :pissed: and yes, it's blurry too *sigh*)

nevermind.....

???

hi cich,

some good shots you got here!

the first shot is your stands out the most for me, the colours are really good and saturated. The oranges and the purple go quite well together for the shot and the monkey has a goofy expression and a wierd tail position to boot :)

the last bridge shot is the better of the two...hrrm seems something is missing, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Looks likes the bridge is a bit in the shadows perhaps catch it when it has some splashes of light?

I dig the cross looking cat you have here too.

good stuff mate :)

Cich, I had seen your photos, indeed, but never quite knew how to put into words what I thought.
But you seem disappointed by no responses - which I understand! that's natural! - so let me say this:

The first one really captured my eye and I thought immediately: "Hey, that one is really, really nice. Not too much background, just the theme of the photo, the monkey, in focus, and a nice colouring".

Then I saw the bridges. And was reminded of the benches in that other photo ... hm, let me think: whose is is? can't tell ... and thought: yes, those photos appeal to me through their diagonal lines.

With the bridges, I started getting into some "thought-problems" myself, for I couldn't say which one I like better: the upright one or the horizontal one. Despite the fact that the horizontal one catches the sun, I tend to prefer the vertical one by it's sheer dramatic impression: you catch the "legs" of the bridge (hang on, where's my English gone to, why can't I think of the proper word here?) down to where they end and we get the feeling of height. I like that!

You are off to a good start, Cich! The cat photo, too, makes this quite obvious!
Never worry, don't fret.
You'll get a lot of experience, and everyone's always still learning!

Thankyou both very much! Your messages have added so much confidence that I've been lacking a lot the last few months :p

Cheers!

I like the second bridge better, but would like to see more saturated color or maybe it in B&W. I don’t like monkeys but first one is a good shot.
