Dang near unedited picture, just a very small bump in clarity, contrast, and saturation

A little dark? I bumped exposure down a bit and contrast up some in post last night, but looking at it now not sure I like it. Maybe a little tighter crop too?

Yes, the second is underexposed, by a good bit to my eyes.
BOTH of them could stand a different crop, to take the subject out of the dead center of the frame. I'd crop the right side on the Canada goose and the left side (and bottom) of the duck. I like to have the extra space in my bird photos to be on the side the bird is looking towards, or moving towards.

Number two is a bit dark, but that appeals to me. Seeing it monochromatic would be interesting.

Be well,

Anthony

I would open the shadows a tad on the goose , so you can see the dark side of the face, particularly the eye, and I agree with Sharon about the duck.
