I saw my very first Scarlet Tanager today. What an absolutely gorgeous bird! From what I read, they are one of the hardest birds to find in an eastern forest because they stay so high in the canopy. I was able to snap 7 or 8 quick photos before off it went. Not one pic is worthy of sharing

Of course this ugly Red Headed Vulture turned out OK...

Nice shot i got to see three last year but do you think they could move from the middle of every tree they landed in so that i could focus on them

Thank you very much. A local baseball field has a roost tree for them. Some mornings you will see 20+ birds with their wings spread, drying them in the sun.
