Nothing against your friends or anything, but this is exactly why Ghost Hunting and things like that is so popular now.

Ghost Hunter: "Oooo, I see an unexplainable blob of light in a photograph! Must be a ghost or spirit!"

Reasonable Thinker: "It's flash reflecting off dust" or alternatively, "It's lens flare."

Ghost Hunter: "No, it's a ghost."

Just because something is unexplainable or you don't understand it, doesn't mean there isn't a reasonable explanation.
