Sometimes it's fun just to get out and wander around in the ooze and slop.

The sand, cold and wet, was quite deep in places behind rocks. It only took me one step into a slurry about 9 inches deep to pay attention to where I was stepping.

d'you bump the colours on the background mountains? seems interesteing that the colours would intensify the further away they got. i like the effect though.

No- it's like that. The cliffs beyond are very red while the wash area is very sandy and neutral.

The area I'm standing in is the runoff from a small 'badlands' area. Behind me, beyond the badlands are basltic/volcanic based hills with strips of green vegetation. A most colorful area on a sunny day.
