What you will need to get for you any time soon now is a tripod.
You like nighttime photography and apparently know well what to look for to get some interesting views, but these are just underexposed and show camera shake with no PS can repair for you. So go get yourself one and then off to more nighttime photography. And try different exposures for the same scene to get a feel for how much is needed so there still is some detail to be seen, also in the shadow parts.
Great tip: start out with DEEP DUSK photography, where the sky is already dark blue and all the lights are on, but there still is that bit of blue there. You will be surprised.
