A lovely grouping.... the ones of the cacti work the best, I think, but overall, nice work. It pulls on my heart to see them....gotta get back OUT there!! I love the emptiness there.

Jeff, I did a Polaroid image transfer of the Vermillion Cliffs you might dig, if you like this imagery, check it in the Alternative forum if you'd like. :)

hi jeff,

nice work there, i agree with terri, i really dig the cacti, especially 3 and 7. The second to the last one kind of reminds of the game myst for some reason. Is that a coyote i see in the last pic?

XP2 film, Is that infrared film, or partial infrared? Do you develop it yourself?

Cheers and thanks for postin'

XP2 is a C41 process black and white. So you get it developed with your color prints

I like the contrast on the 2nd pic of the Yucca looking plant. The silhoutted spiky plant is my favorite.

Very Nice. I someday would love to take a trip to that part of the country. Well anything out of the NW is good with me.

Thanks for the positive comments

I know some of the purists here don’t like C-41 B&W,
but I  it. These were print on B&W matte paper.
And scanned with an old Microtek E6 scanner (flatbed, 30bit)

Some great shots! I really liked the whole grouping.

I went to my local photo shop today to buy some XP2, and the lady there said she didn't carry Ilford! Didn't like XP2 in particular because of the color cast!
I went ahead and bought one roll of Kodak T400CN cuz I was out of b&w film, but I was kinda disappointed.
I'm gonna go to another shop tomorrow, and hopefully try a few of Ilford's offerings. I really like the way the XP2 performed for you.

this is, sadly, not uncommon. i order my xp2 from adorama very cheaply.

if it is run through the normal c41 process, the prints will have a sepia cast to them. looks kinda like crib poo. you can ask for them to be corrected in the printing process. if you are lucky you will get someone who understands and can do it correctly. if you print your own, it doesn't make a difference; the xp2 negs print like a dream on b&w paper.
