Okay, I recently purchased a used speedotron system: 805 powerpack, and 4 103 universal heads.
I own a Rebel XT, which doesn't have a pc-cord, so I use a Nikon AS-15 hotshoe to pc adapter, which works fine when used with a vivitar 285hv. The 805 powerpack requires a 1/4" international sync cord.
Anywho, I read the instructions, connect everything before turning on the power, blah blah blah. When everything was prepared I press the Ready/Push button, nothing happens! After several minutes of frustration. I tried it without the sync cord plugged in, now the bloody thing fires!
So I think the problem is either with the AS-15 adapter, 805's pc port, or the sync cord I used, which is a Bowens 1/4" sync cord. But of course I have no clue really.
Anyone?
BTW: What do you guys used to carry a 2 light, 1 powerpack system?
