Sports Photography "Golden age is over"

As an amater sports photographer trying to get paid for my work I could be accused of bias but since I started shooting football matches I have analysed the shots in the papers much more and to be honest many of them whist technically sound lack real inspiration.
Digital has given "Talented" amateurs the chance to publish there shots and as others have said in a free market economythey will get used especially if they are charging way less than the pro's,having said that real talent will always out and the best of the pro's will still make a pretty good living
