Star-field photos with Fujifilm FinePix SL1000?

I have a Fujifilm FinePix SL1000, which (as a former 35mm SLR user) I really like, because it has a viewfinder.

Can I set it for long exposures, so I can take star-field photos?

I've taken photos of the moon, but that didn't require a long exposure at all.

I don`t know of your camera, but if you Google Long exposure with Fuji SL1000 a lot comes up.
