State Bird of Arkansas....and others

The northern mockingbird is also the state bird symbol of Florida, Texas, Tennessee and Mississippi.

Shooting birds got a little easier after the leaves were gone from the trees, hope you enjoy these.

Yes, I was walking the woods that day. The other shots I was in my blind at home setup with tripod and very close to the limb I wanted to shoot, the limb in #2.

Thanks for the replies, All of these are from the 100-400 lens @ 400mm or 560mm with the 1.4tc. The background in #3 consist or open space and a stand of oak trees about 25 yards away.

Thank you. Very impressed. Wifey uses the 100-400 and has the 1.4tc, but never used it once she found out she loses autofocus.

Autofocus works on the 5D MarkIII with the latest firmware, also I'm using the 1.4 III extender.
