I spent a little time at a nature area on Friday and what did I end up shooting? An old silo on the grounds. I like the old silos, but this one caught my attention with the unique texture of the staves (concrete blocks). As I looked closer, the metal hoops that hold it together caught my eye as well. They are of a different design than I have ever seen in this area. I figured the textures would do well in b&w. I was really pleased when I actually did the conversion. I've included the original color version for comparison. The b&w has only slight adjustment in contrast and sharpening.
