How did you bring about this effect?
The bottom part of the photo, i.e. the steps themselves, show that she is going upstairs, but the road at the end of them suggests we are looking downstairs! I don't get it (which proves that this is a darn good photo!).

Corinna, the steps go up, then the road slopes up even further at the top of them, so it looks as if you must be looking down on it.

It must be a very steep slope to create that illusion?

LaFoto, what alexecho said. I was shooting from the bottom across the street. The hill is one of the steeper ones in Tacoma.

utterly tubular. it actually hurt my head for a few seconds until i realised just what the heck was going on. is that in San Fran or do other places in the world have steep hills/steps? Imagine the police chases you could have down that mamma.
