"Still Life"

I was out shooting a roll of film (part for the contest, part jsut to practice). I kept picturing stock photos in my head (the ones you order on a cd to use in advertising, webpages, etc. I wondered how hard it would be to try one, so I came up with one. They always seem to have a "color" theme, either all the same tones, or contrasting colors......so I went with the tones. I found a globe around the house and tried to set it up.....This is the best I could come up with. I of course had no choice on the glare.....I only had interior lights and a flash....

What do you think for my first try? C&C? My wife laughed at me for aking pictures of a globe....... I felt like and idiot.

the lighting is good, but you might want to make the pic smaller

If it were black and white it would be the opening of the movie cassablanca. I like it seems some how thick and sluggish if that makes any sense to anyone.
