Stitching me up

Can any of you techie types recommend a programe for stitching digital images together?
I need one that is:
Easy to use
Produces good quality
Works on a Mac using OS X.
And cheap is good. Free even better. But I will pay if I have to.
Or is there a plug-in for Photoshop 7?
Or is there another way of doing it? Nothing too involved please.
