I just recently got myself a new sony HVL-42am flash for my A300, and i am trying to decide which flash accessory would work better for me. I am mainly looking for a product which will help diffuse the light and help me get more even lighting on my indoor portraits. I have seen good reviews for both products. Does anyone have any experience with both of these products? Which would you reccomend that i pick up?

The Omnibounce relies on you having surfaces (walls & ceilings usually) to bounce the light off of. If you have good surfaces, then it can work quite well.

The Promax system can be used with just the main 80-20 piece, which is also meant for bouncing the light, but you can also add one of the inserts or the diffusion screen which sends all the light forward (no bounce). Bouncing the light is usually going to give you softer light but if you don't have a surface, then the Promax will be better than the omnibounce.

Has to be said... lol

Do a search. I now know what these things cost to manufacture (way under a buck a piece)... complete waste of money.

Better bounce card for the better results.
