Stone Steps and a Straggly Tree

Took these a few weeks ago but hadn't done anything with them till now...

this was by inks lake near austin, Texas. unfortunately it was right on the edge of the cliff so I didn't have a ton of composition choices

tried an eerier feel with this edit of #2 :

:mrgreen: I like #2 best just because there's more of that wonderfully craggy foreground leading the way to the tree. What a great subject with loads of personality! (For being rocks and a tree. Though the tree is technically "alive" so it can have a personality. Sorry.)

Well, I always knew my momma told me I was different for a reason. This must be it. Even though I like #2 I find #1 more powerful of an image. I couldn't quite tell you what makes it stand out to me in comparison. It just, to me at least, holds more punch.
