This was a strange end to a strange day.

It's hard to tell but it looks like a really high shelf cloud in the top left. Is that what you were refering to as far as a strange day?

There were a few weird components to the day. The cloud near sunset was really great way to end it up.

I think the coolest thing, although there were about a dozen of us in the group, everyone else was heading back to the cars. I was the only one that caught the shot.

Thanks. I seem to be catching the cruddy days, which out of the 355 bright, sunny days a year is great.
