Strange Flare Fix. Advice?

Encountered some weird flare I've never seen before on a picture I liked that I took today, I've been trying to eliminate it in Lightroom but haven't been able to. The annoying thing is that the banding in the lower left hand corner doesn't let me just use a nice gradient to fix it up. Does anyone have any advice on how I could fix this?

I guess I'd use frequency separation in Photoshop and just paint it.

Try burning it in or another layer with lower levels and blend it. It's a nice image but there is lots of posterization visible all over the picture. I think you've overworked it.

The histogram doesn't show any posterization at all.

Frequency sep. and a graduated filter lowering the f/stop just a bit.
