Hey Gang,

What do you folks use for your weddings, and portaits in the field, as far as lighting?

Any strobe recommendations to look for?

Strobe brackets you like/dislike?

What camera(s) do you use?

It's nice to have a dedicated flash unit with E-TTL compatibility. I use a Canon 430EX but I'd much prefer to have the 580EX.

I use a Stroboframe Press-T bracket. It's designed to be used without holding it, you keep both hands on the camera & lens, just as if you were using the camera without a bracket. I really like that aspect of it...but I don't like how the flash is turned 90 degrees when you flip the unit...it makes it hard or impossible to bounce the light off of the ceiling. I think I may get, or at least try, one of the 'camera rotate' brackets, which keeps the flash level above the camera.

Currently shooting with Canon F1, or Nikon D50....waiting on the D200s or D200 this fall.....

For Nikon, you might want to look at the SB600 or the SB800.
