Hi all,

Just bought a (new to me) RB67 and the macro lens is just stuck on. I cannot seem to remove it from the actual lens, the wheel just won't budge. I have used the manual instructions but this camera is totally new to me maybe I am missing something. It will otherwise fire normally if I attached the macro lens to the body. I am mortally afraid I used too much pressure on an old lens and ruined it, or bought a machine with problems. Thanks for any help you can provide.

What exactly do you mean the macro lens is stuck on? Is that a lens converter filter thingie? Or is it the actual lens on the body that you can't get off?

You probably over tightened it or not putting even preasure on it as you turn it. Put on a ruber glove n try doing it again but use a gentile even force?

I'm sure others will kick in with more tips to remove a stuck filter.

Can you cock and fire the lens?

I ask because if you don't have the lens cocked along with the body when you mount the lens it will get stuck on the body.

If so there is a place where the covering can be pulled back to reveal where to access the catch. Paul Ron, I believe has gone over this process before so maybe he will point you to that post or tell you directly.

Whatever you do, don't force it to do anything.

I don't think you would I just had to say it. ;)
