Studio light boom arm is a needed item for studios

I used to believe light stand is enough for my studio until my last visit to my Hosuton buddy. He has two union & brothers boom arms in his studio thus allow him to instantly adjust lighting from any angles. After I got one, I do find my strobe can contribute me more quickly. I don’t believe this is a new item but I am surprised it is not popular in the market (light stand is everywhere, but the boom arm ?????)….Also, I don’t have many cords on ground anymore, this makes me feel comfortable when I shoot kids
