Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I am designing a website for a studio that I'll be opening soon. The studio will be available to be rented out by other photogs. The intro page will be a panoramic of the studio, I have everything else pretty much done and was hoping for some critique. Any feedback is most appreciated.

Location? Address? Tel #? The first thing I'm going to want to know after the price is where is it. As far as the gear goes, I would suggest having a page with a detailed list of exactly what, how many etc. Telling a photographer that you have lights, umbrellas and soft-boxes is like telling a mechanic you have tools. I want to know how many, what kind, and what power. Are your soft-boxes small, large or freakin' huge? What kind of triggers? Can I bring my own gear?

A photo of the studio space is an excellent idea, but dimensions would be useful. Ceiling hieght, width, length, etc.

Thanks for the tips! I havent disclosed the address or real contact info yet b/c im not 100% certain of it :). Once I do I'll update the contact page with a google map, and all that info

Shouldn't that be something you figure out before you get to the website?

Since I'm not planning on opening until 2012, I'm focusing on working on what I can until then.

I travel a lot for work and use studioshare.org to seek out studios in the area I will be working at. You may want to look into advertising on there as another tool for getting rentals. When I'm looking at studios I look for in order of importance to me:

1.Location
2.Square footage including ceiling height
3.What equipment is included with the rental (if you offer triggers for lights, please specify what kind- if no triggers offered but lights included please list that, too!)
4.Cost per hour/ half day and full day
5.Method and policy for payment and booking
6.Pictures of studio
7.MUA station w/ outlets
8.Restroom on site

#'s 1-3 play a big part in #4. I'll pay a little more if a decent lighting set up is inluded in the rental cost. Additionally, if I'm working somehwere for a month or more, I'll look for bulk shooting packages (X amount hours for X dollars)

I have no problem with your not advertising a specific place yet. I do have a major problem with the 9 foot ceiling... that's not a studio, sorry.

Not really enough there to critic... I do like the logo though

Here in Tampa Dave Cross bough Kelby's studio where a lot of training material was produced and offers it out at a low price, might want to peek at your local competion.

This.

$15 / hour ? Good luck with that. Otherwise, the site is just 4 pages with not much on them?

I don't like the pages being all black. It's a little hard to read and it makes the website seem plain. The logo looks cool.

I agree partially, it is very hard and damaging for the eyes. When I find a website with harsh white texts on a black background, I close it without taking a look.
