Subject Glow

Hi:

I'm a newbie to this forum and a newbie in digital photography. I found couple very nice pictures on the net. The subjects somehow glow and pop out, and smooth too.

Can anyone tell me how it's done? Is it the editing or the camera or filter???

do a google search for this

smooth skin cs3 smart object.

it's smoothing out the skin while maintaining texture. it's also sharpening fine detail. it's an amazing tool.
also add a levels layer

It is hard to tell but with high ISO images some people use filters such as Noise ninja or Noiseware in order to smooth out the faces.
