Suggestion on selecting a DSLR and Lens

Hi 1 means the camera increases the iso using software, like brightening up on a computer

Hi jaomul,

On Amazon, I saw the below deal:

1) Nikon D5300 with
18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX NIKKOR Zoom Lens - (Price = $946.95)

2) Nikon D5300 with
18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II AF-S DX NIKKOR Zoom Lens &
55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens - (Price = $996.90)

Both the deals include a camera bag and a 16GB SD card.

Now I'm confused if it is worth spending $50 extra for the extra range while compromising with the f stop number (55-300 can go as high as only f/4.5, where as 18-55 can go as high as f/3.5).

Should I consider taking the second deal, as the difference is only $50. Or would you advise me to save this $50 to invest on a prime lens like (Nikon 50mm f/1.8G AF-S NIKKOR FX Lens)

Please advise.

Thanks.

18-55 can go to f3.5 at 18mm only. It's probably f4.5 by 35mm. Your concern is not really something to worry about. If one wants a very fast zoom big money is required, either of these deals is good, both zooms are entry level but good value
