not badly exposed but there is nothing of particular interest to draw the eye,
pretty even band of grasses in foreground, water in middle and far bank at the top/

Nothing in the composition leads the eye anywhere; it just all sits there.
Sorry.

I love the colours but feel that composition could lead the eye better and there is too much grassy foreground. Maybe you could get a shot going up the lake......

You can't see the kids until you mention it.
Photoshop and a great crop would help this one, but as it is, it's pretty, but not effective.
Try the crop.
