Summertime at Oak Creek

The red earth really does something to the water there.

I have to go back. Last year I could have told you where along the creek you were standing. Seems like my memory is fading.

-I have to try anyhow; Maybe upstream from Sedona aways toward sliding rock?

Actually we were a couple miles above Slide Rock, where the West Fork dumps into Oak Creek. We parked at "Call of the Canyon" day use area and hiked down stream for awhile.

I try to get out and take some photos when I can, but between a new job and this crazy heat, I haven't been getting out too much.

But it's nice to be missed, thanks!

Looks like a beautiful spot, and I can almost 'feel' the coolness, with all that greenery around. Makes me want to go hiking there.
