I'm afraid that I might have some problems capturing sunrays . Firstly , I have experienced many trouble with isolating the brightness of the picture on the whole . Either the rays were just nice and the background was dark or everything just seemed over exposed and saturated . I was wondering if I needed a filter . I currently have a UV filter but I think I does nothing significant . Any tips and hint to capturing sun beams / rays ? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated :)

you can definitely make them stand out a little more in post processing. I had a look at what I did to the last picture with sunrays in it, and adjusting the clarity, contrast and playing with levels (or curves) all helped make the rays stand out a little bit more.

post an example and it will help people to help you!

Alright thanks ! But I prefer to do it like on the spot by the dslr alone without any post processing , you think it's possible ?
