Sunrise - in August

It was amazing sunrise for the 1st of August and it was not blistering hot. Thought I would share a few images with you.

1) Pre sunrise, getting the location just right.

4) This happens when you stick around and wait after sunrise. The sun rays were too cool.

Wow, that first one is simply outstanding! Way to go, Ron! That lens creates gorgeous "sunstars"! LOVE them!

Nice set Ron! Loved them all. Were you using any filters in the first one?

Thanks Jasii. Actually non of these had filters at all. I took a few with a GND and a couple with a CPL, but those images did not make the cut.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I actually got that first image published in the Daily Oklahoman in the #MyOklahoma section. That is the second image that I've had published in the States largest newspaper.
