I was on that beach on Dec 31, 1999 --> Jan 1, 2000. I'd like to say that these great photos bring back some memories...but I don't really remember much from that night

I love these shots, especially the second. I don't mind the crane at all. I actually think its cool how the sunlight sky is showing up through the unfinished building.

Sky looks like that most mornings at sunrise. I wake up to it every day.

It's like that most of the time??? The most I've ever seen is about as colorful as a bright apple.
