Surreal... (ish)

Firstly!!! They are low JPEG files, so the quality after scanning/saving etc has ruined them but thought i'd post the photos just to give you an idea!

These are a few prints i did for one of my units in photography at college. This particular project is being Moderated so not sure about what grade i get yet, it could go up or down

Let me know what you think!

Great pics - dunno if they're surreal, but definitely very creative, some even pop-art-ish.
I liked 1, 6 & 8 the most.

cool thanks, yeah i wasn't really sure what to call this unit..

i havn't got any more at the moment as i edited them all at college on the college computers and my sketchbook and final prints are being moderated by an examiner at the moment but i should get those back either tommorrow or mid August when i get my results. :S

They were my ideas.

I coulnd't find any photographers who specialised in weird food photos, the closest i found was the Japanese artist Michiko Kon. I used her for my research in the project. still those prints dont resemble her crazy stuff!

My boyfriend gave me the idea for the first one, he has reeeally random ideas in his head. That turned out to be my favourite, we also shot that crevette coming out of his mouth, but that print didn't develop properly because i opened the back of the camera by mistake thinking the whole roll of film had been rewound oops!!

How cool!! You're so creative! I could never ever imagine putting a prawn in an apple!
Did you eat all those prawns after you were done? if so why didn't you invite me around :-( ... I loooove seafood.

Great work and I hope you get a good mark for them - they are really creative!

tee hee no, i'm vegetarian and don't like fish, i've tried sea food and wish i liked it because it looks fun to eat lol but i just can't hack the taste or texture! the only fish i ever liked was Marlin - that was nice!! hehe looked and taste like chicken though (from what i remember)

I have to comment again - very innovative "designs", if you can call it that. Since these are low-res scans, i don't want to comment on the technical aspect, but if you take care of that, then i have to say these are quite amazing pics - great ideas.
Definitely looking forward to more....

yeh reaaaally low res pics, i dont have a USB memory stick so had to borrow someone elses after scanning them at college and stuff. The actual final prints i handed in for the course are proper prints so look better quality wise thankgod!
