Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Just wanted to share :) had to do a little work bc I didn't like that the subjects were centered- so i did a little patchwork and made it panoramic style instead :) you can view the larger size on my Flickr A Mother's Love | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

love the expressions.. wb seems very off though.

White balance and exposure are definitely off; I've tried to correct them a little bit, as well as cropping square, which I think given the composition of mother and child works very well with this image (also note what happened to your carefully placed watermark!).

Always try and avoid cropping limbs, especially along a lateral axis as you've done to the mother's forearm here. You've definitely captured a keepsake moment, and one I think is worthy of a little more careful processing.

^This! And surely you have other shots with a better expression on the child? That expression makes me think of dirty diapers! lol! She doesn't look happy!

Tirediron's edit was nicely done! the exposure and WB are off on the original, and I think it would have worked better in portrait orientation. I also think some flash was needed to fix the shadowing and exposure, but the underexposure was correctable in post.

i DO actually like that shot as a panorama, but you needed to frame in mom better. maybe a little below the arms.
the EXIF data was not on this photo. what equipment did you use? can you give us your camera settings? any flash?

A fill flash would have helped a lot here. Your light is mostly in the background and that usually makes the subjects dead/flat.

I personally think the baby's expression is "not ideal", but that may be very much her "happy face" and therefore will be endearing to mom. I personally like the panorama, but I'm sort of out of the norm in this respect. You'll likely get a lot of guff for it.

i decided to play a little.. wb still isnt quite where id prefer but the file is so tiny. $IMG_7567 web panorama smaller.jpg

Actually, I take it back. I saw it on my phone which is not as color accurate as this machine. Way too bright.
