Tablet for Photoshop (pen tablet)

Hi, I want to buy a tablet for Photoshop and LR. Sorry I don't even know what it's called but rather than buying an expensive mouse, I thought just buy a pen tablet. So, what should I search for in a tablet? What kind of features are important? I don't want anything super professional, because I don't think I need super fancy. Well, thank you !

Wacom is the way to go. I believe mine is the Intuos 3 and I love it.

You'll find the Wacom Intuos to be the standard.
