Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I took this photograph because the girders really caught my eye but I'm so far from being happy with it and don't have a clue what to do with it...

Way cool, Rob. I particularly like your collage!!!

For lack of Photoshop, and inspired by Rob's interpretation of the photo, also I went out to "play with it", with the limited software I have got, so here's a couple of ideas of mine:

I like how people have taken an unusual look at this.

Rob: I adore that collage. How did you go about creating that?

LaFoto: I like the crop you made on the third example, and the colours are really interesting.

Ferny: Very dreamlike - I love the fact that its a total contrast to the hardness of the girders. Make it purple and that's definitely my favourite. How do you create that effect?

PS 9 CS2

1) I took a subsection crop using the rectangular marquee tool to a shape and composition which I reckoned was about right.
2) Resized the image to 300xNNN res
3) Filter, Artistic, Cutout (default settings)
4) Image, Adjustments, Colour Balance (and changed to create pretty colours)
5) File, Save As, Name of Colour
6) Repeat 4 & 5 for different colours (flipped two of them using Image, Flip Horiz)
7) File, New, dimensions of two images + a bit (700 x 500 I think)
8) Select one of the colour images, Select, All, Edit Copy
9) Select new blank canvas, Edit, Paste, Move into position (by eye)
10) Repeat 8 & 9 for all images
11) Tada

Something like that anyway!

Have fun with creating Warholesque collages!!

That's a really sympathetic conversion you've done there Artemis. To be honest, I hadn't thought of the simplicity of black and white, but it looks really good.

I always think the best thing to look for in black and white is shape, this is pounds of shape and not much colour, so black and white was called for...not saying im really clever at it or anything :)

Your shot, and good work!

i agree, all these modifications are awesome. you guys rock!

Nice work Jadin, I like this one best. However, the others are also quite good.
