Has anyone had a chance to try this lens out here?

I would just like some real world experience. I know the Tokina and Sigma are regarded as better lenses but I have found a Tamron locally that I'm interested in.

its a great lens. its the lens I bought and I am very happy with it. It takes awesome pictures and get a nice shallow depth of field

I have the Tonkia, while not local, I could be convinced to part with it. I've been debating it for a while; I don't use it as much as I thought I would and I want to get the 85mm 1.8.

I once owned the older Tamron 11-18 and it was a great lens. You can find them for under $300.00 often.
keh.com always has one, generally. It's an AF lens, but your D7000 can run it, so no worries.

My main reasoning for considering this lens was the very reasonable price point.

Maybe I'll check it out.

omfg. im so stupid, I have the Tamron, not Tonkia.
