Tamron 10-24 or Nikon 10-24

Hey guys I have a nikkor 10-24mm lens that I recently got but I dont really use it on a daily basis so I was thinking on selling that and getting a nikkor 70-300mm VR with a Tamron 10-24mm because Im more into shooting animals and wildlife but still do landscapes... ORRR should i keep the nikon?

Why not just buy the 70-300?
