Photos NOT OK to edit
I bought a Tamron 28-75mm 2.8F lens for my Canon 70D. I now notice that it shoots soft when fully wracked out. It is fine at 68mm and every other focal length but when at its full 75mm it shoots soft, everything appears to be a little blurry. I was shooting at 1/2000 shutterspeed so it isn't camera shake or anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this matter?

Thank you.

Could be a variety of things. Dof, the camera choosing a focal point you didn't expect, etc. Can you upload some samples with exif?

did you try to use the Fine Tune AF function? Try to zoom in on a tv remote and take a pic. then preview and check if the desired "button" on the remote is soft or sharp? if some other point is sharp, then you need to fine tune the AF points.
also check if there is any fungus inside the lens if you bought it second hand...
finally, i have used this lens with my old 5d mark III setup, the lens is not the sharpest of all... plus sometimes taking two pics of the same scene would actually give you two different results..
