Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD versus Canon EF 24-70mm F/2.8L USM versus Canon EF

For people shooting video with a zoom, that Tamron is the only 24-70 option really.

Big shame that the new 24-70 II doesn't have IS. For the price it will be selling for, it's kind of sad that it won't.

And by sad, you mean ridiculous.

This is helpful for me, thanks for posting.

I can't believe the Canon 24-70 doesn't have IS. For that much money it's a sad state of affairs.

I was hesitant on the Tamron 24-70, but I think this seals the deal for me.
I had been considering the Sigma, but it's not exactly what I wanted. I don't need the VC/IS/VR on this lens, but having it if I want it is fine too!

Can anyone attest to the sharpness of Tamron lens? Is it as sharp as the Canon lens?

Do you like the bokeh?

I'm trying to figure out which way to go?

Did you read the review? It's covered in there with samples
