Telephoto for Nikon D50

They're different lenses. I don't know the difference it make be in build quality or image quality. Could just be one is newer than the other.

I'm getting the more expensiver one for my brithday 9couple of weeks). I tried it out in jessops and it seemed nice to me. Plus has a macro setting.

They are both effectively the same lens, but the top one is an updated version with the DG designation that's supposed to be optimised for digital. Sigma are updating all their lenses to DG standard. It has some special coatings on the rear lens element to prevent reflection from the sensor causing some possible aberations, although I hasten to add that the jury is still out on wether this is a genuine improvement or just a bit of a marketting gimmick intended to justify a price hike.
