Telephoto lens Sony F828

I'm looking for a teleconverter for my Sony F828 digital camera. So far I've got two options no 1 is the dedicated sony teleconverter at 300 pounds!!!

no 2 is a canon TCDC58N converter with the same thread and general specs. at 80 pounds.

have anyone tried the canon lens on the sony camera?? I would really apprecate some feedback.
