Last Sunday I continued my photography education. I practiced focusing and blurring different objects (mostly sea birds at Coogee Beach, Sydney), as well as freezing and “milking” waves. I like the manual focus (autofocus still doesn’t work well). Didn’t have much success with the waves, don’t think the shots are good enough for advise, but I liked the birds. Tell me what you think?

Canon Rebel, 17 – 85 “enthusiast” lens.

Thank you!

Overall these are pretty cool, the focus is good for the most part. Just watch out for the blown out parts in the seagulls' feathers! Use the burn tool or something to tone it down a bit.

Great work with those birds. The second is my personal favorite.

Thank you Robbie and HyperSnifer!
The burn tool was a good idea. Thanks for the advise!
