The "S" shaped curve of this tendril of creeping fig, trying to find the light between the slats of the Venetian blinds in my bathroom, looked like it might make a reasonable shot.

Very good I like the lighting :)

I'd never be able to create a photo like this.
A: that plant would long have withered and died with me and
b: my venetian blinds would never be as dustfree as these are.

Very nice.
You SO have "the eye" for beautiful things. I am so in awe :hail: !

Thanks for the feedback Ab$olut & Corinna. A different sort of shot for me I think. Incidentally, no flash or reflectors used, and, note this Corinna, most of my pre-processing time was spent cleaning the dust from the blind :grumpy:. But what's worse is that most of my post-processing time was spent dealing with the dust I'd missed .

Regards, Tony

that is one very nice colour contrast you have there :)

just i would have moved that plant in a way to get rid of the blind's cords.

then it would be a near-to-perfect image composition-wise :)

just MHO of course.

I actually really like where the blind's cord is. It's just a little more shape-contrast.

It hardly seems fair that you can get better shots out of your bathroom than I can out of a studio. :soapbox:

well, i agree it does add something, and not necessarily something bad ...

... but i am sometimes a great fan of simplicity, and without the cord it would be just perfect in that sense :)
