This is my new body of work.
To my mates and me (we are students at Plymouth University) football is not about the million pound sport that occupies a lot of people's Saturday afternoons. Don't get me wrong, we are all fanatical fans of our respective local clubs (up the Cherries!), but for us footie is a game that gets played in the park by about 8 of us on a sunny afternoon after lectures, or after I've spent the morning in a dark room.
It's about enjoying the summer and having a good time and a bit of a laugh with good mates. It's good honest fun, it helps keep us fit, and most importantly, it's absolutely free! It's true, the best things in life are free.
I have tried to capture a different perspective to football that u don't see in the papers, a fun side. With this in mind I have gone for some unconventional angles and crops.
Anyway, comment away and keep your eyes peeled for my 'soft-focus' arty Park Footie series that should be posted here by tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy looking at these as much as I did making them.
The soft focus series is now up here http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=891571#post891571
