Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello everyone!
I just got a new mac desktop and because I was a windows guy I don’t really know lost of things but the most important thing I would like to know about is this

What is the best way to browse folders of RAW files from an external hard drive?

I know that I can do that with help of iPhoto utility on my mac but I don’t want to import anything from my external hard rive

I guess I can do that in adobe bridge?!

Are there any other options?

My RAW files from canon mark 3 are big and bulky so wanted to know how you guys deal with situation like that

Thank you in advance !!!

I always shoot RAW+JPG (small/basic), and always store them together, so that when I'm looking for something, I can just whip through the .jpg files quickly.

If you have bridge, it is a good program to do what you're describing. Photo mechanic is also an excellent option.

This isnt a long-term so,union, but if you're quickly looking through small folder to get a preview you can do this. Open finder, single click on a photo file so that it is highlight, hit the space bar and a preview will pop up. You can use the arrow keys to navigate to the next photo.

I'm not sure if it's me or what but iPhoto always converts my RAW files into Jpegs when I import than that way. So I never use iPhoto.

Anyhow, I use Bridge to view my RAW files and Lightroom and Photoshop CS6 to edit.

So then I have to get Adobe Bridge, I hope I will be able to have a view other than thumbnail
Thanks again for your assistance
