The "bush man".

There was this homeless man on the streets in SF, doing something hilarious to get money. He'd hide behind some tree branches that he held in front of his chair on the sidewalk, and people coming from the other direction didn't take any notice; he looked like a bush. When they came pretty close, he'd jump out and make a loud noise. We sat and watched for about 15 minutes, and every single person who walked by screamed and jumped.

These photos didn't really catch the people's reactions, but it shows you how he set it up.
