The fog plays tricks on my eyes.

Fog is a strange thing. As it thickens and thins you think you see things that could be there, things like bigfoot, elk with huge racks, and aliens.
Up on Mt Rainier one afternoon it was raining and foggy... I thought for sure I was seeing a bear in the fog.

..... Ohhh Crap !! I really was seeing a bear and he was only about 20 yards away as he snacked his way along the meadow.

A little more than a week later I felt much better seeing him about 500 yards away from me.

Sure glad the bear wasn't hungy or in a bad mood. One nice thing about living on Long Island. We don't have any bears.
