Just got the iPhone 7 Plus.
I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about the usability of the software-side "Portrait" mode of this phone. For anybody who doesn't know, the newest iPhone has two lenses. One is the standard wide angle lens, and the other is a closer to 50mm. Along with this second lens, Apple introduced a depth-of-field mode that basically uses fancy algorithms to simulate shallow DOF.
It's not perfect, and if you pixel peep you can see artifacts and other discrepancies between this and a DSLR shot, but for what it is...it's pretty damn cool.
