This is my first attempt at selective color, I'm not really sure how I feel about it, but wanted to turn it over to others to get your opinions. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Well I didn't realise it was a selective coloring until you pointed it out. My eye keeps jumping from the blue in the lower left corner to the blue in the cable running through the center, it might be better if just the main cable was in color. The slanted seam between the floor and the walll is distracting and the lighting seems harsh.

Maybe you could try the shot again with more cables or in a different setting, I think the idea has potential.

Thanks for the advice pursuer, I wanted to change the seam to be straight, but couldnt figure out how in photoshop...as for the blue in the corner, what i did was keep one cord color, and that cord came back in at the bottom, i'll fiddle around with it to try with that part out.
