This photo of the Old Severn Bridge was taken in 1967, and scanned from a 35mm slide, so the quality leaves something to be desired.

For the past 50 years or so, my photography has been to record what is there, rather than to envisage a composition. In this case, we had been fossil-hunting on the shore below that morning. (We found a Pleisiosaur vertebra.) So, the shore did mean something to me then. I am now trying to look beyond the record, and seeing how I can compose my photos.
 
I love the old cars. Certainly a nice start in terms of leading lines, etc., but I think the real appeal here is the age & context.
